Coach Paty's Development Pathway
Coach Paty’s approach is built on developing the 5 key controls every great tennis player need: technique, court movement, shot selection, speed and taking time away from your opponent.
Through dynamic repetition and age-appropriate drills, players build consistency and confidence step by step. Each stage also introduces specific guidance such the use of the right grips, footwork, game plans or strategy. It's all about growing up with the game and loving it every step of the way.
🌱 Grow your game
-
Small racquets, slower balls, big smiles.
At this stage, young players use red foam or felt balls that bounce lower and move slower, perfect for building confidence and having fun. Lessons take place on a smaller 36' court with lower nets, making it easier for kids to rally, move, and succeed.
Coach Paty focuses on:
🧠 Hand-eye coordination
🤸 Agility, balance, and movement
🏗️ Proper technique and control
😊 Positive feedback & playful games
This is a foundational step where kids not only learn tennis… they fall in love with it. Skipping this stage can make the game feel too hard too soon, so Coach Paty uses age-appropriate tools and lots of encouragement to help kids feel successful from the start.
-
Bigger court, smarter shots.
In the Orange Ball stage, players use a slightly faster ball on a mid-sized court (60' x 21'), the perfect bridge between beginner play and full-court tennis. Kids continue building solid stroke technique while learning how to move, think, and compete on a more advanced level.
Coach Paty helps players:
🔁 Refine technique from the Red Ball stage
🧠 Make smarter decisions on court
🦶 Develop better footwork and movement
🏃♂️ Control direction, speed, and timing
🏆 Gain confidence in competitive play
This is also the age where kids can start exploring tournament play, learning how to manage pressure, focus, and sportsmanship. With Coach Paty’s guidance, players grow into more strategic, thoughtful competitors while still keeping the fun alive.
-
Full court. Smarter play. More confidence.
At this level, players move up to a full-size court for the first time using a green ball that’s just slightly slower than a regular yellow one. This helps kids adjust to the bigger space while continuing to sharpen their technique, movement, and strategy.
Coach Paty focuses on:
🧠 Tactical awareness & shot selection
🏃 Conditioning & footwork for full-court play
🎯 Controlling direction, speed, and spin
🧬 Building mental strength through match play
🏆 Regular tournament participation & learning under pressure
With structured drills and realistic match scenarios, players start to think like true competitors who understand not just how to hit a ball, but why. The Green Ball stage is where solid technique meets smart tennis.
-
Full speed. Full court. Full potential.
This is where players step into the adult game using standard yellow balls on a full-size court. At this stage, training becomes more personalized based on each player’s strengths, style, and goals.
Coach Paty supports players by focusing on:
🧠 Tactical thinking & mental toughness
💪 Advanced conditioning & strength training
🧭 Developing a personal playing style
🏆 Consistent tournament play & competitive prep
🎯 Fine-tuning control, speed, and shot placement
Realistic match play, strategy drills, and mindset coaching help players grow into confident, well-rounded athletes ready for junior team tennis, USTA tournaments, high school teams, or just a lifetime of enjoying the game at a high level.
